Urgent Care Center Comes to Dublin

ValleyCare to open in April

ValleyCare Health Care System has a new home in Dublin.

Although not yet open for business, the new offices were open for tours yesterday during a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Once open, ValleyCare will be offering Urgent Care services Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., which will help reduce the number of visitors in its Pleasanton and Livermore facilities. On weekends and holidays, the Urgent Care Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The offices are located at 4000 Dublin Blvd., Suite 150. They will be home to the occupational health services and eventually physical therapy services during regular business hours.

According to Donna Koon, the nurse manager at ValleyCare, the Dublin presence will be a good thing.

“This facility will help relieve the emergency room traffic,” commented Koon.

ValleyCare Chief Executive Officer Marcy Feit said the Livermore facility currently serves more than 12,000 patients annually and that number keeps growing.

“We will triage to this facility from Tri-Valley as needed,” said Feit. “We are your community hospital.”

She said that ValleyCare originally helped design the building many years ago and had always hoped they would end up back in the Dublin location.

ValleyCare is celebrating 50 years in the health care industry.

“It [ValleyCare] is a community-based, non-profit health care system,” said Marty Inderbitzen of ValleyCare. “That means we give back to the community what they need.”

Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti, Dublin Councilmember Don Biddle and City Manager Joni Pattillo attended the catered open house and ceremony.

“The [ValleyCare] system has served Tri-Valley so well,” said Sbranti. “This is not just Dublin’s facility.”

“What we are doing here is the future of health care,” said Feit. “We are really excited to be on the cutting edge of health care.”

The Dublin location is scheduled to be open April 16. ValleyCare has locations in Livermore and Pleasanton.
