'Walk Like MADD' Sign-Ups Underway in Dublin

DUBLIN, CA –Dublin High School students are hosting a Walk Like MADD event at the school on Saturday, April 22 to raise funds and awareness to prevent impaired driving.

While the district joins an annual Walk Like MADD event in October in San Francisco, this one is in Dublin and hosted by the local students.

"The Dublin High’s students have taken on the challenge to host their own Walk Like MADD event this year. ... We hope this will be the first of many such events! While adults will assist with logistics, this event is solely done by our local high school students in which they plan to raise $5000," the district said. "They have also challenged the other high schools in the area to form teams and participate in the event."

The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dublin High at 8151 Village Parkway.
