Weather Delays Reopening of Tassajara Road: Commuter Alert
The road was closed in May due to culvert and road improvements. (Breaking)

DUBLIN, CA — Tassajara Road in Dublin and Camino Tassajara Road in Contra Costa County will be closed about two weeks longer than originally expected, city officials said.
Rain has delayed the installation of new asphalt on the busy road, which was closed in May due to culvert and road improvements.
“With drier conditions anticipated over the next several days, the multi-day process of paving the road to a finished standard will be able to resume,” city officials said in a statement. “The road will now reopen on December 16.”

The closure was necessitated by the replacement of a failing drainage culvert located just north of the intersection of Tassajara and Fallon roads, near the northern Dublin city limits. Residents interested in receiving updates on the project can visit www.dublin.ca.gov/roadwork.
