Where To Keep Cool During Dublin Heat Wave This Sizzling Holiday Weekend

DUBLIN, CA – Hours at air-conditioned cooling centers are extended this weekend in Dublin as temperatures are projected to hit possible highs of 108 degrees. Facilities will be open at the Dublin Senior Center, the library and the Wave swim park.

Also available will be a Tri-Valley veterinary facility if your pets need relief from the heat.

Dublin city officials remind residents to possibly check in on any elderly neighbors, who are more susceptible to heat stroke.

The following facilities will be open to cool off:

Dublin Senior Center (7600 Amador Valley Boulevard)

• Friday, September 1: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday, September 2: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Sunday, September 3: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

The Wave – Cooling Center

• Friday, September 1: 4:00 - 7:00 PM, the Natatorium will be open for Recreational Swimming; cost: $6 per person
• Saturday, September 2: 6:00 – 8:00 PM, the Sports Pool will be open for Recreational Swimming; cost: FREE
• Sunday, September 3: 6:00 – 8:00 PM, the Sports Pool will be open for Recreational Swimming; cost: FREE

• Saturday, September 2 through Monday, September 4:
• Full Day: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Under 40” $13 Res/$15 Non-Res
• Over 40” $15 Res/$17 Non-Res
• Afternoon, only: 3:00-6:00 PM

Dublin Library (200 Civic Plaza) - The Dublin Library, operated by Alameda County, will be open during normal business hours.

• Monday, September 4: Closed

Cooling Center for You and Your Pets: - Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care (2000 Bishop Drive, San Ramon), is serving the Tri-Valley area by being a cooling center for people and their pets.
