Woman Dies While Visiting Santa Rita Jail: Sheriff
A 36-year-old woman believed to be waiting for the release of an inmate was found unresponsive in the restroom, authorities said.

DUBLIN, CA â A 36-year-old woman died on the floor of the womenâs restroom in the public lobby of Santa Rita Jail Saturday, according to the Alameda County Sheriffâs Office.
The decedent has been identified as Dequita Grace Harrell of Oakland, whom authorities say was awaiting the release of an inmate. At 5:25 a.m., Harrell was found unresponsive. Deputies rendered life-saving measures and requested emergency medical personnel, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there are currently no signs of foul play. The official cause of death is being determined by a forensic pathologist.
