Woman Drives Stolen Car To Trial About Stolen Cars: Dublin Police

Dublin police are saying that an Oakland woman on trial for stealing one car drove another stolen car to the East County Hall of Justice.

DUBLIN, CA — Here’s a pro-tip, courtesy of Dublin Police Services: when you’re appearing in court to address charges of a stolen vehicle, don’t show up in another stolen vehicle.

But that’s exactly what DPS is alleging that Brandy Jones, 41, of Oakland did on Monday. Jones has an “extensive criminal history including multiple arrests for stolen vehicle[s] in the Tri Valley and Oakland,” DPS Capt. Nate Schmidt told Patch in an email.

On Monday, Dublin police received a License Plate Reader alert that a stolen vehicle had entered the city, and patrol units located Jones and the vehicle, a Ford Econoline van, outside the East County Hall of Justice, Schmidt said.
