DUBLIN, CA — A new craft beer bar will soon move into the Hacienda Crossings Shopping Center in Dublin. World Of Beer Kitchen & Bar will open later this year in the building formerly home to Johnny Garlic’s, which closed in January of 2018, a few years after celebrity chef and Santa Rosa resident Guy Fieri sold his share of the company to focus on other projects.

The Dublin World Of Beer location will be the first to open in California, according to the company website. The Florida-based franchise was founded in 2007, and has 65 locations in 20 states. Menus generally depend on where the franchise is located but the eatery will likely offer a variety pub grub and breakfast items along with beer, wine and cocktails.

In nearby Pleasanton, a new bakery recently opened. The menu at Bake A Wish includes freshly baked cakes, pies, cookies, bread and trendy snacks like avocado toast.
