LOS ANGELES, CA -- A Los Angeles man was killed Saturday in a four-vehicle crash on the Glendale (2) Freeway at the Ventura (134) Freeway in Eagle Rock, authorities said.

It happened at 5:06 a.m. on the westbound Glendale Freeway east of Round Top Drive, said California Highway Patrol Officer L. Jimenez.

Jonathan Nunez Molina, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene, Jimenez said. His name was released by coroner's Investigator Kelli Blanchard.

A gray 2002 Toyota Corolla driven by Molina was westbound at an undetermined rate of speed, the officer said. "The driver of the vehicle made an unsafe turning movement resulting in a loss of vehicle control. The vehicle left the south roadway edge and collided with the concrete wall."

The Toyota came to rest in the number 3 lane and Nunez Molina got out and crossed to the right shoulder, Jimenez said.

A white 1998 Toyota Corolla crashed into the rear of the gray Toyota causing it to turn sideways in the number 2 lane where it was struck by a black 2016 Dodge Ram, which overturned, the officer said.

Nunez Molina then walked into westbound lanes and was struck by a black 2007 Lincoln Town Car and died, Jimenez said.

The 78-year-old woman driving the Dodge was taken to a hospital with a cut left hand and the 35-year-old driver of the white Toyota Corolla was taken to a hospital as a precaution, Jimenez said.

``Whether or not alcohol consumption by the driver was a factor in the collision will be determined by the Los Angeles Coroner's Department, Jimenez said.
