EAGLE ROCK, CA — Three Los Angeles firefighters were transported to a hospital after battling a house fire in Eagle Rock Thursday.
The fire broke out about 2:50 p.m. Thursday at a single-story home at 1469 N. Campus Road, just south of Occidental College, where arriving crews found flames in the attic, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters attacked the flames from inside the structure and achieved knockdown at 3:05 p.m.
The department reported that three firefighters were transported to a local hospital, but their conditions and the reasons for their hospitalization were not immediately available.
Fire officials said hydration units were being used to help firefighters recover and prevent heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire remained undetermined.
The Los Angeles Department of Transportation and Los Angeles Police Department were notified to assist with traffic control.
