Patch Blog: The Eagle Rock Rock and Eagle Shop Grand Opening
Finally—a shop for all your rock and eagle needs!
Attention, Eagle Rockers! Mark your calendars: You are invited to the grand opening on April 1—no fooling—of The Eagle Rock Rock and Eagle Shop.
Located at 4765 Eagle Rock Blvd., this will be a one of a kind shop for all your rock and eagle needs. It will also be an exhibition. On display will be a wide variety of objects and art works themed around eagles and rocks—everything from eagle puzzles, eagle snow globes and The Eagles band records to pet rocks, macraméd rocks and hide-a-key rocks. For a fuller description, click here.
The idea for this store started out as a play on the words “eagle” and “rock” between friends 48 years ago. Click here to read details from my previous blog.

The evening will include the poetic charms of our guest of honor, Mason Williams, the originator of this shop's concept. Williams is a singer, songwriter, poet and artist behind the famous 1968 guitar tune “Classical Gas.” He has written for Saturday Night Live as well as the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. At our big bash, he will perform a poem he wrote especially for the shop.
Ukelele chanteuse Janet Klein will also play a few of her jaunty tunes, and many more surprises will be in store.
