The campus is undertaking a major renovation of the historic Swan Hall and building the new Jack and Sally Samuelson Alumni Center.
recently began some construction on and near its Eagle Rock campus. A major renovation is underway at Swan Hall, one of the oldest buildings on campus, and a new alumni center is being built on the spot where a troubled off-campus frat house was demolished after numerous complaints of noise and rowdiness by residents nearby.
Meanwhile, on Escarpa Drive, residents have adopted a roaming peacock—evidently unconcerned by its piercing screeches that don’t seem to disturb the peace. Named Miles by neighbors, the peacock wanders the area freely, going from yard to yard and adorning home rooftops.
