Bebe is new in town. Her parents have just moved her to Eagle Rock, California from a little-known suburb of Paris. Although she won't admit it, Bebe is lonely in her new home and is looking for a friend. A One Day Bot Sale advertisement in the newspaper has brought Bebe to the local department store, where she examines the sale bots with a hyper-critical eye. Will Bebe find the bot of her dreams, before the bot sale ends?
The series "Bebe's Bots" began as ball point pen drawings of Bebe, a small, but stylish French doll and her tin, toy robot friends. These were scanned, digitally painted and are now presented as editioned, archival digital pigment prints. Eventually, these drawings will form the middle section of our first children's book, "Bebe Buys a Bot," an illustrated journey of self-discovery through high technology.
