There is a world in between sleep and wakening, a still and at the same time dynamic place where my mind calms and my imagination is switched on. Images correspond to thoughts, shapes form out of feelings. Driven by a relentless passion to bring this out and release the emotions, I sit at my drawing table and let the energy flow through my hand. I tap into the rhythms of the universe, open the window to the dream-world, and the lines begin to appear magically. As the lines connect and shapes become recognizable, by free association I tie them together in an act of pure improvisation.
