What it’s about: An all-day indoor camp focused on great creative projects such as building a food city, learning Chinese brush painting and building Zen gardens.

What it’s about: Children get a behind-the-scenes look at how animals eat, play and love. They also hike to the zoo’s playground, and sit in on all the animal shows.
Why your camper will be happy: Half the day, they learn about animals, play games and make crafts indoors, where it’s air conditioned. Counselors are knowledgeable and kind.
3. Summer Kids
What it’s about: Nestled in the Altadena foothills and shaded by pines, this is your classic summer camp—crafts, swimming, hiking and sing-a-longs.
Why your camper will be happy: The counselors are goofy and fun and you can’t beat the yummy treats that come out of cooking class.
4. Anderson Adventure Camp H2O at the Rosebowl Aquatic Center
What it’s about: Swim lessons, games and field trips in a beautiful canyon.
Why your camper will be happy: The VIP pass to a fabulous pool and jacuzzis.
5. The Klub Gymnastics Summer Camp
What it’s about: Games, movies, the bouncy house, and lots of well-supervised gymnastics!
Why your camper will be happy: They’ll be double cart-wheeling by the end of summer.
