La Dama Boba is a very fast and funny comedy about a pair of sisters on the verge of marriage. Their father is
ready, willing, and able to pair this pair with the best bridegrooms that money
can buy – he’s allocated 50,000 ducats for his daughters’ dowry. The sisters
themselves are famous beauties, everything the most exacting eye could want. The
sticking point? Elder sister Finea is notoriously slow (a boba),
while younger sister Nise is if anything too intellectually swift. Nise can’t
