Republican Club dinner, Tuesday, 5/5, at the Thursday Club
Todd Royal will speak on the Geopolitics of energy and how it affects us
Todd Royal was the Republican nominee for the 43rd California State Assembly District in the November 2014 election. He is a second year graduate student at Pepperdine University pursuing his Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) with an emphasis in International Relations and State and Local government where he will graduating in December.
Todd will be speaking on the geopolitics of energy for the United States (US), and how Iran, Russia, China, and fracking have changed energy security in the 21st century. Increased US fossil fuel output has affected the proposed Iranian nuclear negotiations, Russian aggression in the Ukraine, and the reaction from Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, and now Yemen. This has become one of the cornerstone issues for the upcoming Presidential election, and for the foreseeable future.
