Shopping Before The Storm

It's not a scene you're likely to come across every day in Eagle Rock—an student shopping in the neighborhood, dressed in a pair of "Oxy" shorts. This particular student, a senior majoring in math, was photographed last week before the worst windstorm in Los Angeles in decades downed high-voltage power lines in an undeveloped area on the edge of the Oxy campus, sparking a blaze that kept firefighters busy for two hours.
