The Buzz About Coffee

Today, September 29, marks the 464^th birth of Miguel de Cervantes, considered the father of the modern novel, and the 104^th birthday of the “Singing Cowboy” Gene Autry.

So it’s perhaps befitting that September 29 is also National Coffee Day—given how many millions of people read, write and listen to music from dawn to dusk in America’s coffee houses.

To celebrate National Coffee Day, 7-Eleven stores across the nation—and here in Eagle Rock—offered free cups of java from 7 a.m. through 11 a.m.
