Yogurt Haven Expands to North Hollywood Area

The Eagle Rock indie froyo shop offers 57 flavors in a yearly rotation, based partly on customers' suggestions.

Yogurt Haven, the make-it-yourself ice cream and froyo store on Colorado Boulevard, has opened a new store in the North Hollywood area.

The store opened at 12510 Vanowen St. on the Valley Glen/North Hollywood border in late 2011, according to North Hollywood-Toluca Lake Patch, and, like the parent store in Eagle Rock, offers 57 flavors that continually rotate throughout the year.

Manager Nick Bautista told Eagle Rock Patch that the store gets its ice cream and froyo from a distributor named YoCream, which sends flavors every Wednesday that are either in season or popular among customers. "We also go by our own customers' suggestions," said Bautista, adding: "We always try to have it very interactive with our customer base."
