β’ Giant teacher housing project advances in East Palo Alto (paloaltoonline.com) β East Palo Alto's City Council has approved key affordability terms for a 430-unit teacher and resident housing project on Euclid Avenue, with many units reserved for very low-income households. The project prioritizes East Palo Alto residents and Ravenswood school staff, and leverages outside funding and state density bonuses to significantly expand affordable housing options in the city.

β’ Victim identified in East Palo Alto fatal assault (paloaltoonline.com) β East Palo Alto police have identified 52-year-old Menlo Park resident Andres Alberto Henriquez Gomez as the man who died after a Sept. 3 assault near Runnymede Street and University Avenue. A 53-year-old East Palo Alto resident was quickly arrested and booked on manslaughter and assault charges, marking the city's first reported homicide in more than two years.
