• Bay Area's first 'living levee' opens at Palo Alto Baylands (paloaltoonline.com) — A new "living levee" at Palo Alto's Baylands is now helping filter treated wastewater from the regional plant that serves East Palo Alto, while also buffering the shoreline from flooding. The $4.6 million project uses native plants and a gentle slope to improve habitat, support climate adaptation, and may guide future shoreline protections around the Bay.
