East Palo Alto Temps To Dip, Then Rise Again: 7-Day Forecast

EAST PALO ALTO, CA — With Labor Day behind us and the "unofficial" end of summer, the weather seems to finally be taking a cue and cooling down in the Bay Area. After a wave of record-breaking temperatures, a slight cool down appears to be on tap for most of the region. Temperatures are then expected to rise back up slightly come the weekend.

"Muggy conditions will persist Tuesday with temperatures falling back to near seasonal averages," the National Weather Service said. "Look for marine influences to increase through midweek as onshore flow returns to the region. An approaching upper level system will push inland to our north late in the week and help maintain cooler temperatures with only a slight chance of showers on Thursday."

As for East Palo Alto in particular, here's what the National Weather Service says is in store for the coming week:

Patchy smoke. Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. North wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west southwest 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 23 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 8 to 18 mph becoming north in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday
Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 79. North northwest wind 6 to 11 mph becoming southwest 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph.

Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind 7 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
