ECHO PARK, CA — The swan boats at Echo Park Lake will be illuminated in Dodger blue during the team's remaining September home games, it was announced Thursday.
The blue LED lighting will be used after sunset Sept. 8-9, when the Dodgers host the Cincinnati Reds; Sept. 18-20 against the San Francisco Giants; and Sept. 22-24 against the San Diego Padres.
The special lighting will complement the illuminated night rides offered at Echo Park Lake, located near Dodger Stadium.
"With the Dodgers heading into the final weeks of the regular season, we wanted to give fans another way to show their Dodger pride," said Mike Ullerick, director of operations for Wheel Fun Rentals. "The new programmable LED lighting recently installed on our Swan Boats gives us the opportunity to turn the lake blue and create a fun, uniquely Los Angeles experience for baseball fans."
Swan boat rentals are $13 per hour for adults 18 and older and $7.50 per hour for children 17 and younger. Advance reservations are required.
The swan boat rental concession has operated at Echo Park Lake since 2018.
