Comedy Writer and Film/TV Actress Uses New Technology to Run Online Food Drive
Annie Wood, a lifelong actress/writer born and raised in Hollywood, California, has paired up with YouGiveGoods this season in support of Hope-net.
Annie Wood strongly believes in giving back to her community and assisting those who are in need. She recognizes that the amount of hungry people in and around the Los Angeles, California area is astounding. In response, Annie Wood plans to enlist her friends and loved ones to help raise as much food as they can for the ongoing battle against hunger.
Annie Wood says, “As a lifelong actress/writer/volunteer I'm always looking for ways to give back that works within my busy life. I created the website www.DoGoodStuff.org to offer a place where people can find volunteer opportunities that sound fun to them. When I happened upon YouGiveGoods I was thrilled! I'm on the computer anyway, why not take a few minutes and set up a food drive? I love social media (https://twitter.com/anniewood and facebook.com/welcometoanniewood) so, I can tweet and post about the drive. It was fast, easy and I think it's a brilliant idea! Thanks, YouGiveGoods for helping us help others.”
Anyone can get involved with the cause that Annie is supporting by clicking here. Food can be purchased online to donate to the Drive. Once the drive is over on November 20, YouGiveGoods will deliver the items to Hope-net and supporters will receive an e-mail to let them know when the goods have been delivered.
