Schools on Wheels Thanks an Amazing Volunteer

Stella Chesler has been a volunteer with School on Wheels for over a year, and during that time she has tutored homeless children, coordinated volunteers, done public speaking engagements on behalf of the organization, conducted research, and provided hours of support to staff. 

Stella oversees over 30 volunteers at 3 different shelters in the Downtown Los Angeles area, serving as the liaison between shelter staff, families, volunteer tutors and School on Wheels Staff. 

She communicates regularly with all her volunteers, offering support, academic guidance and, most importantly, appreciation for their time and hard work.  Stella dedicates at least 30-40 hours per week of her time to School on Wheels.  Stella is highly organized, dedicated and passionate about the School on Wheels mission.
