Authentic Andalusian Paella on the Patio Sundays at El Cid

El
Cid, the venerable Spanish-inspired restaurant/outdoor patio bar/nightclub, located
in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake Sunset Junction neighborhood has added Summer
Sunday Paella Suppers with authentic Andalusian Paella prepared on the grill in
a Paellera on the outdoor patio. Diners can observe the spectacle of paella
cooking while enjoying cocktails starting at 3 pm. The ingredients include chicken,
mussels, clams, calamari, vegetables and saffron rice.

The
paella is ready at around 5 pm and is available a la carte for $15 or ordered
as a complete dinner to go along with Arte y Pureza’s Flamenco Dance Show taking
place in the indoor showroom at 5:30 pm. Paella and Flamenco tickets are $30
when purchased in advance online through www.ElCidLA.com. A ticket includes one glass of Tinto
de Verano (Spanish wine cocktail) or a soda, house salad, plate of Andalusian paella
and the flamenco show. Paella and Flamenco tickets are available at the door
for $35, depending on availability.

Tickets to
Flamenco Shows without food are $15.00 and include one hour of traditional
Flamenco entertainment only and should be purchased in advance through the El
Cid website to guarantee seating. Our entire
dinner, tapas and specialty drink menu is available during the show and is available
a la carte. Anything ordered at the table is applied to your dinner check. There
is never a minimum. The Flamenco shows are for all-ages and large parties are
welcome.

Celebrating
its 50th year as the premiere venue for Flamenco Dinner Shows,
popular brunch, tapas on the patio, full bar, and well-known nightclub, El Cid
is now open 7 days a week (Monday through Saturday from 4 pm and Sundays at 11
am) and is proud to launch Authentic Andalusian Paella prepared on the grill in
a Paellera on the outdoor patio starting at 3 pm and Paella Sunday Suppers with
5:30 pm Flamenco Shows; Tapas Tuesday Jazz Nights with the Sir Sultry Quintet
from 8 - 11 pm with no cover charge or minimum and $5 tapas specials and
sangria; Daily Happy Hours from 4:00 – 8:00 pm; and Sunday Brunch from 11 am – 2
pm. Flamenco Dinner Shows are also on Fridays at 7:30 pm and Saturdays at 7:00
pm with Spanish tapas and dinner menu beginning at 6:00 pm.

The El Cid menu consists of an extensive list of Spanish and
California-fusion tapas and authentic Spanish and California inspired Spanish
entrees; during Brunch, the menu includes breakfast favorites with the El Cid
flair.

Arte y Pureza Flamenco shows are directed by Guitarist Ethan Margolis. Direct
from Seville, Spain, Arte Y Pureza Flamenco Company presents professional dancers
and musicians whom have garnered rave reviews from around the world. The shows are
always different, but they include dancers and singers and a live Flamenco
guitarist. Arte y Pureza Flamenco provides a rare look into the purest forms of
flamenco music and dance. The shows bring powerful Gypsy singing from the
legendary towns of Andalucía. Expect dazzling footwork, unique style as well as
exposure to the art of "baile casero," one of the oldest forms of
Gypsy song and dance. The dissonant, melancholy notes of the company's
guitarists set the musical background for an unforgettable evening. Arte y
Pureza is a display of artistry and personality rarely seen outside the
intimate bars and private parties of Andalucía.
