i recently moved to Highland Park, right off Figueroa St.

I got my first D.W.P. bill several weeks ago. It was $423.82. Owner pays

water. I called DWP and they were telling me it is probably a ten room house

or 14 people live there. It is a single with just me living there.

I went to that DWP link you have and they stated 500 kwh should be about

$ 65.79 (go see if you want). According to my bill I used about 1,000 kwh

(which I dont believe either). I paid $ 30.00 for a meter reading. But the

guy only came into my place and said, "Hmm..a Tv, a computer, one of

those oil something heaters. I though so." And left!

I went to a web page and entered "tv..5 hours a day, heater 9 hours a day, etc.

And came out with a monthly bill of about $ 70.00.

Can anyone out there tell me what the $#@!! is going on?
