Brushfire Breaks Out In Elysian Park

ELYSIAN PARK, CA — Firefighters made quick work of a small brushfire that burne uphill in the Elysian Park area.

The blaze broke out near Angels Point and quickly spread to one-acre just after 4:30 p.m., according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department. It took 64 firefighters about 39 minutes to douse the blaze. No damage to structures was reported, according to Stewart. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
