This event is the Sunday after black Friday and encourages people to bring their fall / winter clothing, shoes, handbags, scarves ect. to swap with other peoples stuff.
This is a great way for people to become introduced to 8 Limbs sewing school, step inside, peak arounds, ask questions and find some new treasures. We will have sewing machines set up and will be providing on the spot garment alteration if people need them. We also will have refreshments (vegan cup cakes + other delightful offering to share) and will be welcoming tours of the facility and promoting the class offered with special promotions.
NOVEMBER 30, 2014 (LOS ANGELES, CA) – Erika Ikeler, founder of 8 Limbs Sewing School, along with current students of hers, will be hosting the first ever fall winter clothing swap. “GO SWAPPING” is what we want to encourage people to do.
About 8 Limbs Sewing School :
The school began in 2002 as an idea of the founder Erika Ikeler to give people an outlet to learn simple sewing and clothing construction skills through short workshops. The mission is to provide education and inspiration to our dear students.
The school grew and evolved and now operates in a beautiful remodeled building in the trendy Echo Park / Silverlake neighborhood.
