First Meeting of New Food Co-op Is Sunday

A Facebook group called "LA Food Co-op" formed back in the fall. The goal is for local residents to come together, as a community, and offer a shop for organic produce and other goods.

Cooperatives function as local grocery stores where all decisions are made by the members.

The first meeting of the group is scheduled for Jan. 15. Participants are invited to "discuss strategies."  The meeting will be held at 410 Cottage Home Street in Chinatown, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Join the open Facebook group and RSVP to attend.
