Echo Park House Blaze May Have Started With Grass Fire

A home in Echo Park was damaged in a fire Monday that may have been sparked by a nearby grass fire.

ECHO PARK, CA — An Echo Park home was damaged by a fire that may have been sparked by a small grass fire to the rear of the home Monday.

Los Angeles firefighters were called to the the 600 block of Rampart Boulevard at 1:29 p.m, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Crews extinguished the fire at the rear of the single-story residence in 18 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

No injuries were reported.
