Echo Park Neighborhood Council Elections: Call for candidates!

The Greater Echo Park Neighborhood Council is having elections SOON. CANDIDATES ARE NEEDED!

GEPENC is divided into 5 districts. There are seats for district
representatives, and executive officers that are district-wide seats.

Candidate filing deadline is February 26, 2014.

Elections
take place on April 12, 2014 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Edendale
Branch Public Library, 2011 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026.

Candidates must live, work or own property in the applicable GEPENC District.

Voters CAN:

  • vote without being a registered voter.
  • vote with out being a citizen

Voters MUST:

  • live, work or own property within GEPENC boundaries, or
  • declare a stake in the neighborhood as a Community Interest
    Stakeholder, defined as a stakeholder with a substantial and ongoing
    participation within the Neighborhood Council boundaries and who may be
    in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational,
    nonprofit, and religious.
  • prove stakeholder status by documentation.
