Echo Park neighborhood will celebrate their 5th Shop Hop on Saturday,
Dec 14, 2013. It will be business not so usual for over twenty five
retail stores, bars and restaurants that day as they offer discounts
and complimentary refreshments. Other specials include a
Make-your-Own-Bloody-Mary bar, blanket donations for pets, gift-wrapping
and sing-along Christmas carols.
The
Echo Park Shop Hop originally started as a way for small businesses in
the area to battle a sluggish economy during the holidays. And it made
sense to have it coincide with the community parade to help make the
eclectic neighborhood a true destination for the day.
