Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program

VITA provides: 

• Trained and Certified Volunteers (PriceWaterhouse Coopers)


• FREE Federal and State tax preparation


• Serving individuals with low-to moderate-income


• Computerized returns transmitted electronically for the fastest possible refund


• No charges for any service provided by the VITA program


• Must live in the City of Los Angeles 

***Person must make an annual income of $51,000 or less to receive this service***

What to bring: 

• Last year’s tax return


• CA/DL or ID, Original Social Security Cards or ITIN cards for all family members


• Proof of Address: Utility Bill (Gas, light or land line telephone)


• All tax forms: W-2, 1098, 1099


• Information of all deductions/credits, e.g. childcare provider’s name, address, Social Security card or ITIN number


• Bank account number for direct deposit
