Brian Burton aka Danger Mouse is bringing his experienced touch to Electric Guest, a twosome out of Los Angeles. The duo's album, Mondo--entirely produced by Danger Mouse--is scheduled for release April 24 on Downtown Records. Electric Guest's first single, "This Head I Hold," is an excellent mix of precision and fluidity; if you didn't know who was behind the boards, you might have accurately guessed after listening. Electric Guest is only Asa Taccone and Matthew Compton, but "Head" yields room-filling (at least dancefloor-filling) music that has a magnetic, natural bounce. Stream the band's lead single below.
