Learn a historical overview of the laws and policies that have influenced and shaped the LGBTQ experience in the United States: How the laws, policies and society’s view of the LGBTQ community have changed over the years in the US from pre-Stonewall Riots, Post-Stonewall riots and today. We review how the LGBTQ experience has changed through activism and political involvement. Topics covered will include: criminalization of homosexuality, psychological/medical treatment of homosexuals, activism, political leaders, and laws.
