Lane Closures to Occur Early Next Week

Some commuters will need to seek an alternative route to work next week due to part of Los Feliz Boulevard being closed.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power will close westbound Los Feliz Boulevard between Vermont Avenue and Berendo Street from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Crews with the LADWP Power System will be working on updating the infrastructure in the neighborhood as part of the Los Feliz Power Reliability Project.

The goal of the project is to prevent power from overloading in the future which would impact 5,500 residents in the area.

As a result of the lane closure, all traffic will be rerouted to southbound Vermont Avenue to westbound Franklin Avenue and northbound on Edgemont Street then back onto Los Feliz Boulevard.
