Lincoln Heights senior citizens learn mobile technology at free AT&T Digital You workshop

AT&T hosted a free workshop to help to bridge the technology skills gap and empower older adults to use mobile technology

On Saturday, 2/20, nearly 100 senior citizens took part in a free mobile technology training workshop hosted by AT&T called Digital You at the Lincoln Heights Senior Center. The workshop is part of AT&T’s national digital literacy initiative and is one in a series of workshops now taking place as part of the California Digital You Tour. The effort aims to help older adults learn how make the most of tablets and smartphones, and discover how broadband and mobile technology can help improve their lives. Volunteers from Lincoln High School and AT&T assisted the seniors as they learned how to send email, take photos, browse the web and use GPS navigation.
