Lux Boreal

Tijuana-based contemporary dance troupe Lux Boreal’s aesthetic is a fierce and fearless one, using visual spectacles to trigger reflection on issues of social advocacy and cultural exchange. The two pieces that mark this group’s Grand Performances debut – “Industrial Desert” and “Lamb” – touch upon maquiladores (factories operating in the Free Trade Zone) and religious belief (respectively), and are beautifully ethereal.
