A new destination for all things spa has just opened in Silver Lake.
Kure Spa aims to cure any desire you have to be pampered while keeping health and wellness in mind, according to owner Thien Ho, an Echo Park native.
The spa, located at 2378 Glendale Blvd., opened about a month ago.

It aims to stand out from other local spas, Ho said.
"The main thing is attention to detail," Ho said. "We customize our chairs, so health and safety is the most important part."

The pedicure chairs are equipped with stainless steel sinks. Ho said they are designed to eliminate the risk of bacteria. The spa also disposes of tools that cannot be sterilized are used, according to Ho.
A facial and massage studio is also scheduled to open at the spa in less than two weeks, Ho said.
Kure Spa is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
