L.A.’s own electronic trio Palenke Soultribe’s signature sound is where Colombian-influenced electronica, pop, and rock seamlessly blends turntables and looped laptop grooves. Peru’s Novalima (an energetic crowd favorite from 2009) seamlessly fuses cajon-based folkloric rhythms with funk, salsa, dub, and hip hop beats to create a futuristic, and cutting-edge sound.
