Especially living not-so-far from San Onofre, I'm not a big fan of Nuclear power. Especially not after what happened at Fukushima a few years ago. No radiation for me, thank you.
There's a new report out that I saw on just how much nuclear is propped up by subsidies, way more than solar that has utilities all nervous. They get so much money in subsidy benefits from their nuclear plant power sources, like 4x that of the itty-bitty solar industry. And San Onofre closing down is supposed to taking more money out of my pocket, too? Let's not let the wool be pulled over our eyes--big utilities get big bucks and they want to keep those subsidies and squash solar in the process.
See report at http://www.dblinvestors.com/resource/ask-saint-onofrio/. It has kind of a weird name but is worth taking a look at.
