Police Shoot And Kill Man In Atwater Village
Officers were responded to a report of a person armed with an "edged weapon" in the Atwater Village area Thursday.
ATWATER VILLAGE, CA — Police shot and killed a reportedly armed man in Atwater Village Thursday afternoon.
Investigators are on the scene of the shooting that occurred near Appleton Street and Brunswick Avenue where officers responded to a report of a person with "an edged weapon," according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department .
Police arrived on the scene and engaged the man, shooting and killing the suspect. Broadcast footage from the scene shows a body and a bloodtrail in the street just feet away from a patrol car.
