Power Outage Affects Thousands In Silver Lake

SILVER LAKE, CA — Thousands of Department of Water and Power customers in Silver Lake were without power Thursday afternoon.

Crews were dispatched to the area to assess the problem Thursday, but officials estimated the power could remain out until as late as 10 p.m. Thursday. According to DWP, roughly 2,081 customers were without power.

Officials have not said what caused the outage.
