Small Brushfire Scorches Elysian Park Hillside

ELYSIAN PARK, CA — Los Angeles firefighters made quick work of a slow-moving brushfire in the Elysian Park area Thursday morning.

The blaze was reported at 11:43 a.m. at 1000 West Elysian Park Avenue, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Amy Bastman. The fire scorched less than an acre of grass before crews were able to knock it down.
