Guitarist Tom McNalley has been a mainstay on the Los Angeles music
scene, having worked with everyone from Nels Cline to Ornette Coleman who said
of Tom “Your like the best of Pat Metheney and Blood Ulmer.” His new trio
brings the blues and rock edge to the forefront on their new release "Eyes
Above Water". Influences of early John McLaughlin and John Abercrombie are
still there (and of course the aforementioned Cline), but now with more Hendrix
and even Tom Morello! McNalley's extensive foray into Haitian music also show
up, and with the fearless rhythm section of Matt Baker (drums) and Jarrad
Lander (electric bass), expect no stone to be unturned!
Los Angeles native Bassist Jarrad Wade Lander has
played with The Faceless, Symphonic Circles, Carlotta as well as many other Los Angeles based and national
artists. Jarrad recently performed with electro/pop group Maximum Hedrum
opening for the Yeah Yeah Yeah's headlining tour. Drummer/ producer Matt Baker has been immersed in the Los Angeles scene since the age of 15; studied
drumset performance and music theory at LAMA; and literally lives in a
recording studio and working on launching his own label "Moment Music."
