Woman, Girl Stabbed Following Silver Lake Dispute

From City News Service

A man was at large after allegedly stabbing a woman and a girl following a dispute at a Silver Lake residence, a police sergeant said today.

The stabbing occurred at about 10 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of Lucile Avenue, said Sgt. Herb Chang of the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Station.

"There was an argument between the male and the female in the residence, the male came up with a knife and stabbed the female, the girl intervened and the male cut her arms and left the location,'' Chang said.

The woman and the girl were treated at County USC Medical Center, he said. Their wounds were not critical. The girl was released and the woman was kept at the hospital.
