19-Year-Old Arrested for Early Morning Robbery in Richmond
The suspect, identified as Jose Manjarrez, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to county jail.

A 19-year-old man is in custody after allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint underneath a BART overpass in Richmond, a police spokeswoman said today.
The victim was walking under the BART tracks at the intersection of Macdonald Avenue and 16th Street around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday when the suspect approached, brandished a gun and demanded the man’s belongings, Richmond police Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said.
A short time after making off with the victim’s wallet, a police officer found the suspect. He was found to be in possession of a pellet gun and the victim’s property, Abetkov said. The suspect, identified as Jose Manjarrez, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and taken to county jail.
