No suspect information has been released.

A man in his 20s and a teenage boy were shot after answering the door of their apartment in Richmond Thursday morning, a police spokeswoman said.

The double shooting happened around 10:55 a.m. after an armed suspect rang the home’s doorbell or knocked on the front door in the 4900 block of Bayview Avenue, Richmond police Sgt. Nicole Abetkov said.

One of the victims opened the front door and the suspect opened fire, striking the man in the pelvis and the teen in the abdomen and leg, Abetkov said.
