• El Cerrito slaying happened days after last license-plate cameras removed (ktvu.com) — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot outside Los Moles at El Cerrito's Del Norte Plaza, in what police believe was a targeted attack involving suspects in a Nissan Maxima. The killing came just days after El Cerrito removed its Flock license-plate cameras, prompting the police chief to say the change slowed the search for the getaway car while privacy advocates question the technology's risks.
   

• Teenage El Cerrito murder accomplice from Richmond arrested, suspect vehicle located (contracostaherald.com) — El Cerrito police have arrested an 18-year-old Richmond resident in connection with Sunday's fatal shooting outside Los Moles at Del Norte Plaza, and investigators have recovered the suspected getaway car in the same El Cerrito shopping center. Two additional suspects, including the shooter and a getaway driver, remain at large, and police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
